I am very excited to announce that next Thursday the 19th I will be participating in this year’s Artopia at the Peabody Essex Museum with the fine folks of Creative Salem!
On the 3rd Thursday of every month the museum throws an evening party called PEM PM with a different theme… Artopia is the annual celebration of art in the everyday and this one will surely be amazing. There will be sketching, drumming, food, drinks, The Ross Livermore band will play, the Global Meatballs author will be there and local film sketches from the Salem Film Festival.
I will be helping Creative Salem and the team from the Salem Arts Festival in the create space. We will be fostering community involvement in this year’s festival by leading fiber-based projects that will become part of the festival’s decoration of Front Street. We will be knitting and crocheting plus stitching hundreds of flowers from recycled fabrics from Extras for Creative Reuse! We have also made some incredible fiber-based decorations- wait until you see them!
The event is FREE for Salem residents and members, just $10 for everyone else. More details can be found on the PEM’s press release page here.
See you there!
